Description:

I found this Bronze Statue with Horse and Monkey while I was walking around the Jade Market. In Chinese, Horse and Money together implies becoming Prince soon, so it is a good sign. As you can see, a monkey triumphantly sitting on a vigorous horse with his one hand holding his chin, and another hand grabbing the halters. The horse with head looking up, and with long flying tail. The whole body is surrounded with rusts. The work is fully of rough Ming period style.
My brotherˇ¦s zodiac was horse, and my daughterˇ¦s zodiac is monkey, so this Bronze Statue of Horse and Monkey really has lots meanings to me. The seller offered a good price to sell this statue to me together with another Gilt Bronze Seal with Horse and Monkey. |
