Description:

I found this Gilt Bronze Seal with Horse and Monkey while I was walking around the Jade Market. In Chinese, Horse and Money together implies becoming Prince soon, so it is a good sign. As you can see, a monkey triumphantly sitting on a vigorous horse with his hands putting of his waist. The horse head turned back slightly, gilt gold was peeling off but very rich. The whole body is surrounded with red marks and green rusts which are the true evidence of age. This seal has carved with ˇ§Ma Mansionˇ¨, and should be the official seal from a family of Ma.
My brotherˇ¦s zodiac was horse, and my daughterˇ¦s zodiac is monkey, so this Gilt Bronze Seal with Horse and Monkey really has lots meanings to me. Originally, the seller offered a big price, but finally gave it to me with a much reasonable price together with another Bronze Statue of Horse and Monkey. |
