A middle Qing dynasty flower plate. Powerfully painted in vivid tones of cobalt blue, the plate centred with an adorned floral medallion comprising overlapping ruyi-shaped petals, all enclosed within a narrow lappet collar and a broad band of composite floral scrolls issuing curling foliage, the rim painted with further composite ruyi-shaped petals.
