Description:
|
I bought this circling lions plate from a small auction in the early day, I liked the color of the plate, and saw it has characters on the bottom so I just went ahead and bought it.
Later I found out this is a Qing dynasty KangXi period Blue and White circling and crawling lions pattern shallow rounded plate. Elegantly painted in vivid tones of cobalt blue, the plate featured with total nine circling lions in inner and outer plate, in the center of the bottom plate, there is a double circled 6 characters seal as Yen Le Chang Chun Qing Shang. It is a great piece of folk art from early Qing dynasty. |
