Description (guaranteed):

A most unusual long long porcelain ladle with Tibetan text inside and a field of 24 lotus symbols outside. Glazed inside and out with unglazed lip. Double line along outside perimeter. Typical Daoguang (1821-1850) blue with smooth shinning glaze. Fine biscuit.

Condition:

Fine condition with no chips hairlines cracks or repairs. No wear to glaze.

Notes: The Qing Emperors and the Tibetan Lama's had a practical relationship. Tibet was a temporal vassal state to the Empire while the Emperor respected the Lama as a spiritual father. In the annual exchange of gifts, the Qing Emperor often sent porcelain wit.
