I always want to own a piece of jade carving child. However, nowadays, a good quality and real antique jade child is quite expensive, especially for Ming dynasty jade child. I found this jade child while browsing around jade market. Very cute, I saw this Qing dynasty jade child right away when I walked passing the stand. It has my favorite tan brown permeated color, smiling handsomely, with two topknots on the head, both hands holding a string of coin money, implies for wealthy and prosperity
I felt this jade child is very cute, but the owner asked for a very high price. I was not quite certain that this jade child was with nature permeated color or made color so I was hesitated to buy it or not. Finally, I quoted a price that I could accept, but the owner said it was too low and thought I was just kidding with him. Lastly, I gave him another big jump on price, the owner finally sold this jade child to me.
I was a little concern about the jade child s authentic. I took the piece and asked several friends. They all said this jade boy has no question be an old piece. I am so happy, and I now own another good jade child. This wealth and prosperity jade child indeed bring me lots fortune. |
