White jade but turned into skin yellowish color with russet veining. I bought this piece from a Hong Kong collector. The first sight, I thought this was a archer's ring, but the inner diameter is too big, so people said this should be a hair hoop. The color is very pretty and smooth. Gorgeous piece, at least to Song dynasty. |

穀紋：形如倒寫的e字母，到戰國時期發展為逗號字樣，如同圈著尾巴的蝌蚪，因此俗稱蝌蚪紋，其實穀紋是穀物發芽葉的樣子，所以它應和人類賴以生存的糧食有關。它象徵著萬物甦醒，生機勃勃的景象和人們對春天的盼望。穀紋起源于戰國時期，漢代以後就不多見了，宋代和清代僅少量製作，但是琢工不如戰國和漢代，穀粒排列稀鬆，不飽滿，摸上去不“扎手”。 |
