Description:
|
This jade carving rabbit was found while I was visiting ShangHai. Originally, I thought this was a tiger, but the dealer said it¡¦s a rabbit. I thought woo this is really a fat and cute rabbit. I didn¡¦t make buy decision at spot, and by the time I got back to Taiwan, this piece keeps hunching me with its special carving and color. Finally, I asked of my friends to bring this piece back for me. The dealer said this piece is at least Tong period, but I better be conservative side and make it some where around Song or Ming Dynasty. Its face contents detailing the bushy eyes, grinning smile and large ears and tail..
P.S.: After more study about the carving and style, I think it will be even more safe to classify this piece as Republic period. However, this is still a very special and cute piece.
