Description:
Amitabha is an Indian Sanskrit transliteration name, and is the leader of the Western Paradise claimed by Buddhism. The belief in Amitabha has been respected and loved by monks and laymen since the Southern and Northern Dynasties, and reached its heyday in the Tang Dynasty. From the early Tang Dynasty to the prosperous Tang Dynasty, the national power was strong, the society was stable, and the life was rich, which made people pursue longevity. The Amitabha faith preaches the Western bliss world, and the name will be passed away. The Pure Land of Amitabha is more realistic for all beings and is more easily accepted by the secular society. In the process of development of Amitabha Pure Land thought, it has absorbed traditional Chinese thoughts and Confucian concepts, and the carving of Amitabha statues has become a career demonstration of loyalty to the emperor and filial piety.

Amitabhas hair ornaments have a large spiral pattern, with a strict and full appearance, three-way pattern on the neck, a double-collar and vertical shoulder robes, a monks branch inside, and a large U-shaped pattern spread out on the chest. The right hand is imprinted with fearlessness, the left hand strokes the knee, the expression is safe, and the double is wrapped in the clothes. The clothes patterns and pleats are realistic and natural, beautiful and smooth. The Buddhist culture of the Tang Dynasty was magnificent and prosperous. The emotional details of sculptors and donors were integrated into these statues, exuding the artistic charm of Buddhist statues, and permeated with the high-spirited and open spirit of Tang culture, reflecting the religious feelings, aesthetic interests and cultural vision of the ancients.
