唐代 這尊佛像有著我非常喜歡的法相跟風格，是我跟另外一尊五代金銅阿彌陀佛一起請回來的。歐洲很多國家有著豐富的各方藝術收藏，原來的結緣者說這批佛像是他9年前在比利時的一間藝廊參觀時購得請回，加上訂製的臺座，讓佛像更添風華。
阿彌陀佛是印度梵語音譯名稱，是佛教宣稱的西方極樂世界的教主。彌陀信仰自南北朝以來就受到僧俗的推崇、喜愛，至唐代達到鼎盛時期。初唐至盛唐，國力強盛，社會安定，生活富裕，使人追求長壽。彌陀信仰宣揚西方極樂世界，稱名即得往生，彌陀淨土對娑婆眾生更具現實性，更易為世俗社會所接受。彌陀淨土思想在發展的過程中，更汲取中國傳統思想和儒家觀念，雕造彌陀像成為「忠君」和「孝親」作大未w的一種事業展現。
阿彌陀佛發飾大螺旋紋，相貌端嚴飽滿，頸三道紋，身著雙領垂肩袈裟，內有僧衣，大U形紋在胸前展開。右手施無畏印，左手撫膝，神態安然，雙足跏趺包覆於衣內。衣紋及衣褶皆寫實自然，優美流暢。有唐一代佛教文化恢弘、繁榮，將雕刻家與供養人的情感底蘊融入這些造像作品中，散發著佛教造像的藝術魅力，洋溢著唐文化昂揚開放的精神風采，映照著古人的宗教情懷、審美意趣與文化視野。

The bronze is in an excellent state of preservation. While the high points of the gilding are somewhat rubbed, as can easily be seen in the photos, most of the original gilding remains. The details are incised and well delineated. There is some minor encrustation under the base which was left un-gilt, and on the recessed areas in the back of the sculpture.
