這是我很早前逛古董店時看到的佛像, 剛開始還沒注意到她是三節式的作工, 只覺得古樸的觀世音菩薩, 加上背光或稱佛龕及可愛的金童玉女非常有時代風格.等到真的坐下來細看這佛像, 更發現除了細緻的觀世音菩薩蓮花座雕像, 還有好多很棒的細節, 像是背光或稱佛龕兩邊的金童玉女, 形制跟細膩造型極具時代特色樣式的六角博古式佛座, 而且是在石雕中比較少見的三節式呈現.

這尊漢白玉觀世音菩薩佛像, 雋永優雅, 佛身著架裟, 端坐於蓮座之上, 頭頂滑�, 順肩而披, 髮髻高聳, 神態安祥, 雙目下視, 三分眼看世界, 蘊含慈善寶光, 雙手捧寶瓶仙藥置於胸前, 身着天衣, 架裟衣飾貼體俐落, 衣紋流暢生動, 自然飄垂, 極為寫實. 背光或稱佛龕, 雕工華麗, 兩旁金童玉女, 生動活潑,笑容可掬.六角博古式佛座, 雕工工整, 每面都有方紋格飾, 花卉, 果品等裝飾, 實有博古通今, 崇尚儒雅之風.

The White Jade is in an excellent state of preservation. The details are incised and well delineated. There are some minor chips and nature marks under the base, and on the main areas in the front and back of the sculpture.
