Description:
This Budai or Maitreya statue seated on a platform base with a simplicity and incised style. With his laughing expression face, long earlobes to the shoulder, corpulent belly exposed, and the right hand resting on his knee and holding packed treasure bag. Fine green patina to the interior, it is a Qing dynasty Budai statue and surely worthwhile for collection.

Condition and Additional Specification:
The bronze is in an excellent state of preservation. While some points of the bronze are somewhat rubbed, as can easily be seen in the photos. The details are incised and well delineated. There are some encrustations under the arm , base, and on the recessed areas in the back of the sculpture.
