Description:

I saw the other Tsongkhapa figure before I purchased this Buddha. Passing by the booth several times, but the lady owner always gave me a high price, and the price was getting higher every time. However, she was not able to sell it out to others either. Finally, made up my mind to have a serious negotiation with her. Luckily, she didn¡¦t have any business that day, so even reluctant to sell at a lower price, but still finally sold the figure to me in a package deal together with this mini Gilt Bronze Figure of Bhaisajyaguru.
This buddha figure is small, but with magnificent spirit. Simple, but very detail and elaborated. Bought another wood stand at the market to match with the shrine, perfect fit make the figure look even better. Whole statue was gilt in resplendent gold color. |

Condition
and Additional Specification: |
The bronze is in an excellent state of preservation. While the high points of the gilding are somewhat rubbed, as can easily be seen in the photos, most of the original gilding remains. The details are incised and well delineated. There is some minor encrustation under the base which was left un-gilt, and on the recessed areas in the back of the sculpture.
